This site was uploaded yesterday on 30^th 10 2007.
After then, we found several mistakes in the explanation of the contest.

Although outline of this contest is not changed, we notice to you that we changed several expressions in this site. Especially, the theme of this contest changed from “your town and life of the people” to“our town -- people living here and their lives”. This change is to tell our purpose correctly.

** The purpose of this contest **

　We, GRiDemC, perform this contest for the purpose of promoting making and introducing the usable digital movie works as teaching materials for grass-roots mutual understanding in the world society. GR means grass-roots.

**About us, GRiDemC**

"GRiDemC" stands for GR international digital education movie contest
executive committee.
GRiDemC is an NPO group and now consists of a few members; Walker WILDERNESS
who is a high school teacher in Japan and acts as the representative of
GRiDemC, and his friends.

**The theme of the 1^st contest**

“our town -- people living here and their lives”

We would like to introduce the digital movie works to the children in the world.
Every work should be kept the conditions as follows.
1) Digital movie works introducing your town
2) Each of them can be watched within 10 minutes.

We accept every type of expression, such as documentary, drama and animation
and so on.. "Our town" means your home town or/and the town where your
school exists. If applicant consists of some members, the town should be the
home town where at least one of your members is living.

**The condition of the entry **

The entry works must be original. The form of the entry works must be the digital data of the wmv form. The reason is because we upload the movie works in a video streaming site like “YouTube” and shows the works on our web site linking the video streaming site. The file size of the entry should be within 100Mb and with less than 10 minutes, a running time.

** Qualifications of application**

A teacher or a group of teachers teaching at one of them as follows;
kindergarten
elementary school
secondary school
high school
junior high school

** the 1st application period **

March 1, 2008 to March 15

**about examination and the prize **

The examination committee whom we appoint chooses one grand prix and presents 100 US dollars as a supplementary prize. In addition, we choose several excellent works. We notify the prizewinner of it, and show the movie works, the prizewinner full names and the profiles on our web site. We perform the choice by the last day in March. The announcement is April 15.

A volunteer administers this contest gratis. Most of the expenses do not appear, but welcome contribution of the future expecting the expansion of enforcement of the continuation and the business for the moment. 5) The application of this contest is free. But applicants must pay all of your expenses such as the postage, work production expense.

6.the self-introduction sentence of yourself and the duty school within 100 words.
